Crowdfunding is the collective effort of a large number of people who support a campaign by networking and pooling their money to promote an effort.
How different is SADAQAH?
Our platform is unique from other traditional and Muslim inspired crowdfunding platforms, at www.sadaqah.io we see ourselves as a bridge between donors, campaigners and recipients (whether individuals, establishments or communities) that are of real need of charitable donations.

- Trust: With donations flowing in from across the world for the campaigns, our trusted partners on the ground make sure that the funds are disbursed directly to the people in need.
- Verified: With every campaign going through thorough compliance verification check; such as identity and address checks, know-your-customer, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing, we aim to ensure that every donor can transact with assurance that the campaigns are legitimate and real.
- Transparency: All the money being raised in our campaigns can be viewed with regular updates given out to keep our donors up to date as to when and where exactly their donations are being used.
- Efficient: Using SADAQAH’s high-tech platform, donors can choose from our wide range of campaigns to support and have a maximum impact on the ground in a minimum amount of time through the initiative web and mobile application – our aim is to support donors to donate on the go.
How much does it cost for charity partners?
We charge our charity partners a 5% platform fee on the total amount raised. An additional 1.5% fee is charged to our partners for updates, impact tracking and reporting through the assigned campaign ambassador / mentor. The entire remaining amount is distributed to the charity partner.
How much does it cost for corporate partners?
A fixed 5% platform fee on the total amount raised is charged, an additional 1.5% fee is charged to our partners for updates, impact tracking and reporting through the assigned campaign ambassador / mentor. Corporate partners also pay us for additional services including research, training, content creation, events management, arranging campaign visits and digital promotions where applicable. We do not charge anything to donors in such cases and these fees payable to SADAQAH and cannot be allocated from the Zakat or cleansing funds.
How much does it cost for individual campaigners?
The same charge that applies for charity partners is applied to individual campaigners. A fixed 5% platform fee on the total amount raised is charged, fee is waivered to individual campaigners for updates, impact tracking and reporting through the assigned campaign ambassador / mentor.
How do I create a campaign?
It's a very simple and straightforward process. You can start now by visiting our “Create Your Campaign” tab. When you’re done, just click submit for approval!
How much does it take for SADAQAH to review a campaign?
It generally takes our team between 24-48 hours to begin the review process by assigning a Campaign Manager. Depending on the amount of campaigns being submitted, the time it takes to review a campaign can vary and may take longer than 48 hours.
Do you offer all-or-nothing funding or partial funding?
Both. All-or-nothing funding is for campaigns that are unable to move forward without the necessary funds, while partial funding is for campaigns that could use every dollar. This has to be approved for every campaign and is on a case by case basis.
How can I get my campaign on a homepage banner?
Please email us if you want a homepage banner for your campaign. Please note that SADAQAH does not charge for banners; however, SADAQAH will create the banners for individual campaigners and promote them on our homepage and social media pages. We only do this for campaigns that are in need of urgent support. We kindly ask that you give us at least a 24-hour turnaround time to have the banners setup.
Do campaign giving levels have to offer any type of gift in return?
Not necessarily. Giving levels can be just as effective by highlighting the impact of each donation. For example, a $5 donation towards a school can help one student gain access to new stationary; a $20 contribution can help two students etc.
